I am a qualified Canine Behaviourist and Dog Trainer, covering all of Lanarkshire, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dumfries and Galloway, Borders, Ayrshire, Fife, Perth and the Lothians.
I also help Pet Fostering Service Scotland as a volunteer.
I have four rescue dogs of my own and have worked with dogs for over 25 years. I have a great deal of experience with all breeds.
I have delivered a number of seminars and am involved in writing modules for a well known Canine Behaviour course provider, along with practical assessments and tutoring.
I have also been asked to provide assessments for court purposes as an expert witness.
A number of people contact me for careers advice and to ask which courses they should do. I highly recommend that people wanting to work with dogs study the Dog Behaviour Psychology and Training course found on this link- Courses. I would then suggest they study the Advanced Diploma.
If you have any questions or would like further advice please don't hesitate to contact me.

I use positive reinforcement methods and motivational training, providing the owner with effective management and control skills.
I undertake veterinary referrals as the cost of the service can often be claimed through the owners pet insurance.
I do not use cruel or harsh methods. I believe in relationship training and being aware of what the dog is saying to us through it's body language.
I do not support the use of squirting water, citronella spray collars, anti bark collars, choke chains or slip leads etc.
The key to changing a dogs unwanted behaviour is to look at what the dog is getting out of the behaviour - what reinforcement does he get? Once we know this we are halfway to changing the behaviour.
